Nicki Aycox, well-known for her roles as Meg Masters on The CW’s Supernatural and Jaimie Allen on TNT’s Dark Blue, has passed away at the age of 47 after battling leukemia.
In 2020, Aycox was diagnosed with leukemia, and tragically lost her life to the disease on November 17, 2023.
Her sister-in-law, Susan Raab Ceklosky, confirmed the news of her passing on social media.
“My sister-in-law, Nicki Aycox Raab, an incredibly talented and strong individual, passed away with my brother, Matt Raab, by her side. Nicki and Matt lived a wonderful life together in California. She was a fighter and deeply cherished by all who knew her,” said Susan Raab Ceklosky.
Initially, Aycox thought she had contracted Covid-19 when she fell severely ill, but was later diagnosed with cancer and underwent challenging chemotherapy treatments and stem cell transplants.
Aycox appeared in various episodes of Supernatural during Seasons 1 to 4 in episodes such as “Scarecrow,” “Shadow,” “Salvation,” “Devil’s Trap,” and “Are You There, God? It’s Me, Dean Winchester.” She also made a brief appearance in Season 5 through archived footage.
Her acting credits also include shows like Cold Case, CSI: Miami, Dark Angel, and X-Files. After her last acting role in Dead on Campus in 2014, she curated an audience through her lifestyle blog, Cashews, and Olives, which focused on vegan cooking recipes.
