Just as fans were expecting that the missing Atlanta rapper had been discovered unharmed, fellow musician Runway Rich confirmed Dopeboy Ra’s death.

Dopeboy Ra, real name Rodriquez Smith, was an Atlanta rapper and producer. Fans are mourning his untimely death and offering homage on social media.

At the time of writing, the reason for his death had not been revealed. Neither his family nor his agents have issued a comment.

Runway Rich confirms Dopeboy Ra is dead

Runway Rich came to Instagram to deliver the terrible news that Dopeboy died today, August 15, 2023.

He uploaded a carousel image on Instagram with his and the late rapper’s photos as he lamented the latter’s untimely demise.

“I hate to say this, but Rest in peace,” Rich wrote. He didn’t say anything else about Dopeboy’s death, other than to remember him as the amazing artist that he was.

“Eastside and you were a real one my brudda. I ain’t even think I was going get this phone call but Fly High brother u was a legend on my side,” the caption read.

Dopeboy and Runway collaborated on several projects including Mr Miyagi, Loaded and Dont Nun Move.

What Happened To The Rapper?

Dopeboy was reported missing before his death was announced. According to SNBC13, the rapper was last spotted in Chicago’s south side on 71st and California near Marquette Park.

The precise date of his disappearance is unknown, but the Chicago Police Department has been aggressively searching for him since he was reported missing. A report was made as a result of his absence and “lack of communication.”

On his Spotify profile, the 33-year-old musician was described as “business-savvy and street smart.”

He became a household name through his radio airplay, arena concerts, acting on the big screen, and his business ventures. Dopeboy was the CEO of his record label, Dope Republic Inc.

Fans are still coming to grips with Dopeboy’s untimely passing. In their condolences, several of them complimented the rapper for his influential songs.
