General Hospital (GH) Spoilers tease that Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) was pleasantly surprised by the lengths his uncle, Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy), went to in order to help him out. He swore to Spencer that Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) would raise a Cassadine heir — over his dead body — and he meant it. But Victor’s evidence left a lot to be desired, and Spencer knew pretty quickly that it had been manufactured. Emphasizing how important it was not to get caught up in what they wanted, but instead do things the right way so Esme couldn’t weasel out of the charges, Spencer got Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) to agree with him that they should destroy the fudged evidence and move on as though they never saw it. That’s what Trina thinks happened, but that’s not what happened. When Esme stumbles upon the evidence herself, it’s going to change everything for Sprina.
General Hospital Spoilers — Spencer Cassadine Kept The Forged Evidence
Trina seemed to blindly trust that Spencer was going to destroy that evidence — after she left. We wouldn’t blame her if she had a sneaking suspicion he didn’t or wanted to later check-up and make sure he did. In fact, we might blame her if she doesn’t do so. Any woman who has ever loved a Cassadine man would tell her the same. But why is Spencer holding onto that evidence if it’s all a ruse that could blow back on him?
General Hospital Updates – Esme Prince Remembers Everything
Spencer may have other plans in mind for that evidence that has nothing to do with turning it over to the police. His discussion with Trina may have gotten his wheels turning so that he could use it to trip Esme up. If she saw it and thought he was going to use it against her, she could react in the moment and forget about how she was supposed to be so forgetful. Staging such a scene would be epic. Could Spencer leave it lying around for Esme to stumble upon, waiting to record her reaction as she flips out and insists she didn’t write it? But how can someone with no memory of the last few years know what she did or did not do? Checkmate.
Once A Cassadine, Always A Cassadine
It’s a great plan, but it does beg one question: why didn’t he think he could let Trina in on it? She thought they were supposed to be in this together. In a new age “Luke and Laura,” Sprina could fall apart on the heels of Spencer’s plan to ruin Esme’s alibi. Is there a reason it was important to him for Trina to stay out of this?
Probably. Maybe he just wanted to protect her and keep her out of all of it. After all, it was Trina whom Esme tried to frame. But that may not carry much weight with his young girlfriend, who is longing to feel like they’re inseparable, like they are one. Spencer might succeed at bursting Esme’s amnesia balloon, but will he destroy the trust between him and Trina in the process? Keep coming back, right here, for more GH spoilers so you don’t miss how this ends.
