Where Is Danielle North Going After Leaving Channel 12? Danielle North is leaving CBS station WPRI in Providence, Rhode Island, after nearly 24 years.

The longtime morning anchor will be replaced on January 23 by weekend anchor and reporter Kait Walsh, who will co-anchor with Patrick Little.

“Danielle is an incredible Journalist, anchor, and coworker,” said Karen Rezendes, news director. “We make this announcement with mixed feelings.

It would be an understatement to say that we miss having Danielle on our team assisting Southern New Englanders with their morning routines.”

North began her career at WVNY in Burlington, Vermont, and later moved to WMUR in Manchester, New Hampshire. She began working at WPRI in 1999.

Walsh began working at WPRI in 2017. She began her career at New England Cable News before moving to WWLP in Springfield, Massachusetts.

“We are delighted to welcome Kait to the weekday morning anchor team,” Rezendes said.

“She’s shown an unwavering commitment to the Providence-New Bedford market during her time here.”

She worked with Patrick Little before he moved to Lil’ Rhody. Danielle is a proud Lyndon State College graduate who lives in the West Bay with her husband and three children.
